We are pleased to present Ignacio Uriarte's first solo exhibition Arbeitsrhythmus in our Berlin space.

Ignacio Uriarte developes his artworks with utensils of the banal office world. Through the repitition of casual gestures and the decontextualisation of the used materials he generates works which refer formal- and contentwise to the Minimal and Conceptual Art of the '60s and '70s.
A central position in our exhibition Arbeitsrhythmus has the sound-installation ASDFGHJKLÖ, in which the musician Blixa Bargeld declaims rhythmically the letters ASFGHJKLÖ with varying intonation. The order of the letters was established for the first typewriters for mechanical reasons as the central line of letters and was later-on transferred to the keybords of the Personal Computer.
